The Mornington Railway is your place for a fun family day out, or a journey back in time to the place when steam trains were the norm and timber carriages creaked along at 60 miles per hour all over Victoria.

Come and see our 100 year old carriages and our relatively young, 70 year old steam loco K163, or companion heritage diesel electric loco's.

A feature is our Driver Experiences in either Steam or Diesel locomotives which with a prior booking you can learn to drive our locomotives and spend a whole day with your friends and family on the train. (Freight trains can also be arranged)

For your children's birthday party, book in for our 'self catered' Party Car. Party goers receive two return trips on the train in their private compartment decorated with our compliments.

Onsite:
At Moorooduc we have kiosk facilities, hot (barbecue) food can be purchased, souvenir shop, historical information, and the Mt Eliza Regional Park is a short stroll away.
At Mornington station you can observe the locomotive 'run around' the train and re-couple in readiness for the return journey.
A flyer is available detailing short walks that can be taken prior to joining a later train back to Moorooduc. Ask at the stations for a copy of the flyer 'Mid-trip Experiences'
