Cliff top frontage facing due East with spectacular sunrises. Easy access to beach and Flinders pier where there are electric barbecues and a picnic area. Flinders Yacht Club is situated near the pier which is also used by visiting yachts and other craft, adding to the colour of the Bay.
Magnificent views of Bass Strait and the entrance to Western Port, West Head, Seal Rocks, The Nobbies and Phillip Island. Look North towards Hastings and see the Flinders Mussel Farm. Western Port is a safe, deep water harbour and is used extensively by container ships as well as pleasure craft and commercial fishing boats. The maritime traffic can be observed from the comfort of the house.
Stroll the 600 metres to Flinders Village with its Antique, Dress and Speciality shops, Hotel, Restaurants, Take-away Food shops and famous General Store. There are two beautiful heritage churches. Flinders Post Office is privately owned and has extended trading hours including Saturday morning.
Easy walking to Flinders Bowling Club and Public Golf Course. Walk or drive along Golf Links Road through the Golf Course (Bass Park) and pass
The West Head Gunnery Range, Department of Defence Gunnery School;
The Pilot Station, living quarters for the Western Port shipping pilots.
The Western Port pilot boat is moored at Flinders pier.
Detour down the cliff road to the ocean beach and the Mushroom Reef Marine Sanctuary. Mushroom Reef breaks the ferocity of the ocean waves and provides a sandy beach with safe swimming for children. A variety of birds are attracted by the activity in the many rock pools.
Back on Golf Links Road continue up the hill and see magnificent views of the rugged ocean surf beach. Pass the hang glider launching platform and car park near the sixth green where radio controlled model aircraft are often to be seen. Complete the circle back into Flinders Village past public tennis courts, park and well-equipped playground.
