Experience the magic of Merricks in this classic 50's beach house, built in the 50's and enjoyed by the Drake family for over 50 years. This beach house is in a premium corner position and only a short walk to the most picturesque of Western port bays beaches, the secluded Merricks beach. A magnificent beach that not only offers a sandy swimming beach with toddler safe lapping waves but also features extensive rock formations and rock pools perfect for snorkeling or diving or simply exploring. Stroll 100 metres to the quiet and safe beach complete with dolphins on occasion. There are two double bedrooms, both with queen size beds and one with an extra single bed, and there are two bunks in the gallery area. The dining table seats eight and there is an outside table setting on the north facing deck. Merricks beach is a village with a close community feeling. The closely guarded secret to Merricks is its dirt roads which will soon be heritage listed and protected. This tiny village lies along dirt tracks and is nestled amongst native trees, koalas are increasing in population and dolphins visit occasionally. Close to Red Hill you can enjoy extensive wine tasting and wonderful meals in country retreats reminiscent of Tuscany or the south of France.
